A lot of travel is involved for training camps, school or even just a social night. As I said earlier, skiing in biathon is rather important... but you get anywhere fast without a good set of poles! I'v been around the pole industry a bit, my choice stopped on the Exel poles. Their light, solid and durable... and damn they look good!
Good equipment is important, but sometimes, thats not what will get you around for camps and competitions. Thats why monetary support is also important and helps us get around more easily. This makes a good difference between the athlete that stays home most the time and the one that can go to training camps and competitions to improve his skills!
A good portion of the training is done by running... that leaves out all the traedmill tests we do! Once again, thats why it's important to have a good paire of running shoes!
